A slipped disc, also called a prolapsed or herniated disc is when a soft cushion of tissue between the bones in your spine bulges outwards. It is a painful condition; pain may radiate down to the limbs, if the disc presses on the nerves

Can slipped disc heal on its own?
Yes, in many cases, a slipped disk can heal on its own without the need for surgery. The healing process typically involves the disk material being reabsorbed by the body over time. However, the time it takes for a slipped disk to heal can vary widely depending on the severity of the injury, the individual’s overall health, and how well they follow recommended treatments and precautions.
How can it be treated.?
The appropriate treatment for slip disc depends on various factors including the severity of symptoms, location of disc herniation, and the individual’s overall health. On your consultation day at Synchrony, you’ll be assessed thoroughly, your radiological examination will be co-related with your physical examination. Your treatment will be customized depending on your assessment.
Conservative management includes Myofascial Releases, Dry needling, Chiropractic adjustments, strength conditioning etc. Severe cases may require surgery.
